On September 26, 2025, the children of Maria Goretti Development and Learning Center They experienced a thrilling and discovery-filled experience during their visit to the Pasto Volunteer Fire Department. This educational outing was carried out within the framework of the real learning project on means of transport, allowing the children to get a meaningful closer look at one of the most important vehicles for the community: the fire truck.

During the day, the children not only observed this impressive vehicle up close, but also learned about its use, operation, and tools, understanding how firefighters act in emergency situations. Furthermore, they had the opportunity to learn more about this valuable profession, recognizing the commitment, bravery, and service that characterize these true heroes. One of the most exciting moments was climbing the control tower, where the children were able to understand its importance in surveillance, coordination, and timely response to emergencies. From there, they discovered how different situations are monitored and how this space contributes to protecting the lives and safety of the community.

Through exploration, observation, and direct interaction, this experience strengthened meaningful learning, sparked curiosity, and promoted respect for the work that contributes to the well-being of society.
